Description

The Sterling Publishing Summer internship program provides students with the exciting opportunity to apply their education in a real-life professional setting, while gaining valuable industry experience and transferable skills. This will be an unpaid 10-week program for college credit. Interns will partner with our creative and talented staff to accomplish impactful company projects. The program will begin on June 4th and end on August 10th.

Essential Functions

Summer Interns will learn the skills and tools necessary to support the successful publication of a book within their chosen department. All interns will participate in lunch & learns of various topics, get the chance to have face-to-face time with our president, benefit from the guidance of a mentor, and attend resume workshops, all while learning everything there is to know about the book publishing industry!

Internships are available across different departments, including:

• Art/Design

• Editorial

• Managing Editorial

• Marketing

• Sales

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university

• Available to intern 28 hours per week, Monday through Thursday

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

• Creative and innovative with a strong interest in the book publishing industry
