Job Description:

The Manager of Omnichannel Operations is responsible for implementing the company’s Digital Omnichannel Strategy and ensuring execution and delivery of key customer-facing initiatives. This individual will work in partnership with the Store Operations, Digital Experience, Marketing, Merchandising, Customer Service, and IT teams and be responsible for maintaining a continual focus on the customer experience and reducing customer effort when engaging with the Barnes and Noble brand, regardless of channel.

Essential Functions:

• Management of new Omnichannel Fulfillment program, Buy Online Pick Up in Store (BOPIS)

• Continual process improvement for any owned programs, ensuring they are customer-centric for both our internal and external customers

• Development and achievement of key metrics for measuring program success

• Competitive Benchmarking within retail and other industries

• Trend Identification and Analysis

• 24x7 business support for all programs

• Development of new project submissions; including revenue model build-out, forecasting, and business case development

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of five years proven experience in Retail Store or eCommerce operations required

• Proven strategic business and analytic focus

• Demonstrated expertise working with and partnering with cross-functional teams

• Customer experience and process improvement experience a must

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain high quality output simultaneously

• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written

• Strong project and/or product management skills

• Strong awareness of retail industry trends

• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Competitive benchmarking
