The Front-of-House (FOH) Manager manages and leads the overall operations of a full service casual dining restaurant. They hire and develop staff to deliver the highest quality of service and hospitality to our guests. They manage employee development, inventory, supply purchases, department management and guest satisfaction as their top priorities and consistently deliver results while upholding company standards and expectations.

Essential Functions:

Hire, develop, and manage front of house staff (approximately 20 hourly employees); Prepare and deliver performance reviews and develop staff members to build a consistent talent bench for future growth ; Execute and maintain quality and consistency of food and beverage service in accordance with corporate standards; Achieve financial goals and recommend ways to meet or surpass P&L expectations while maximizing efficiency and productivity; Manage inventory and supply purchases and build good rapport with vendors to ensure quality and consistency; Effectively manage labor in accordance with company guidelines and state labor, employment and wage & hour law.; Recommend and implement new procedures to improve the FOH operations (inventory, staffing levels, etc.); Create and foster a warm and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring friendly and courteous service to all our guests; Resolve issues and complaints with urgency and professionalism to the satisfaction of the guest while protecting the company; Evaluate service through restaurant audits while leveraging guest and employee feedback to improve performance; Train staff and develop plans to continually improve service levels; Instill a culture of excellence and inspire confidence while displaying strong leadership and delegation skills; Recognize and reward good performance and confront and resolve performance issues, partnering with General Manager (GM); Enforce and monitor all safety, security, sanitation, and cleanliness of facility; Conduct weekly inventory counts, costs, and maintenance; Control cash, credit, and other receipts by following company cash handling/reconciliation procedures; Protect company assets by controlling internal and external food and theft; manage inventory counts, costs and facility maintenance; Ensure all employees comply with reporting and tipping policies; Act with integrity and trust, promoting our culture and core values and delivering the highest level of customer service.

Qualifications:

One to two years of full-service restaurant experience at a management level and prior experience leading and conducting restaurant openings; Must be ServSafe certified; Exemplary customer service and team building skills; Thorough understanding of local market (restaurants, businesses, hotels, etc.); 55-60 hour workweek with holidays, nights, and weekend hours required, as well as flexibility with need-based shift coverage; Experience with computer applications and POS systems; Thorough understanding of State labor, employment and wage & hour laws.
